I tried a couple of other products as well as good old fashioned olive oil and even gasoline. Nothing compared to this stuff and it smells nice! 5/5 would recommend

I get tar stains from smoking. This product did not take off the stains.

This stuff works really well! Totally exceeded my expectations, I like that the formula is plant-based and smells good. Fast delivery - And also comes with a biodegradable bamboo wipe. This product is a must-have for the beaches in Ventura and also seems to have other uses too like removing sticker residue.

Best produce on the market for removing tar. Buy some for yourself and buy for friends. Makes a great stocking stuffer.

It Works.It is expensive relative to the amount used to remove beach tar.

The stuff works so perfect for trips to the beach, removing the tar off your feet or your sandals or shoes also. I have also removed tree sap and I’ve also used it to remove gum. The stuff is great.

I live on the Central Coast I deal with tar on my feet almost every day!!!It works but very expensive. I pretty much get the same results from a bunch of baby oil and using an exfoliating glove... Which is much cheaper.

Best product ever to get beach tar off your feet. Living in Santa Barbara you can’t escape the tar situation. This local product works quick.

We live by the beach and managed to bring tar home a few weeks ago, was all over our feet & shoes! We also stupidly managed to track the tar across the carpets :(This stuff is amazing, followed the instructions, got our shoes clean and all of the tar off the carpet. Will definitely be keeping a bottle of this around.I especially like this as it not only gets the job done, it’s non-toxic too.

Recently have had so much tar on the beach and this is the only thing that gets the tar off. I’ve tried all kinds of oils and soaking in water etc and this is the only product that gets it off quick! First discovered this at my hotel in Santa Barbara— a ritz Carlton so you know it’s good stuff if even the ritz uses it!

I’m at the So Cal beach 2-3 times/week and get a lot of tar on my feet or flip flops. Old time tricks that worked well are turpentine, paint removal stuff. The problem with those are they are toxic, and melt synthetics if you use them on flip flops, wet suits etc. On a friends recommendation I tried OIL SLICK and bought the smallest # of the ‘handi-wipe’ format. Worked well. Then bought the more economically Spray. I keep a couple oz in smaller spray bottle in my beach swim bag with adequate paper towels. Works the smoothest of the ‘nontoxic methods’ that have been recommended. It is better than baby (aka mineral) oil, vegetable oil. The other day I was raving about the spray on OIL SLICK to a lifeguard and he was happy using his sunscreen and paper towels. Another recent tip from another beach bum was WD-40. I haven’t tried those 2 yet. The OIL SLICK spray works the best of what I’ve tried so far. Will probably try sunscreen and wd 40 prior to buying more OIL SLICK based on cost. Still looking for something that I can use on my WETSUIT that doesn’t melt it.

It works really well and smells amazing. I wish I knew about this a long time ago. The Ritz-Carlton Bacara gives away little samples and so that’s how I first found out about this stuff. I recommend it to everyone. A must have if you live in a beach town.

This takes the tar off with just a few sprays. A must to keep in your car!

I was using lighter fluid to remove tar after walking on the beach. Kind of toxic. This is a much better solution.

This works really well as marketed for skin, and although it's not intended for fabric, it works pretty well for that too. If you have tar, sap, sticker gunk, this will dissolve it without leaving a stain. It does have a pretty strong citrus scent, and while it's not unpleasant, I noticed that it did stay on the fabric I used it on through one wash cycle (but was gone after two washes).

This stuff is truly amazing! I had tried everything else, and was about to throw my new flip flops away after being ruined by beach tar. NOTHING else worked even a little bit. This stuff took it right off. Thank you!

We always manahe to get tar on our shoes or feet. This works excellent to easily and efficiently remove tar off of shoes and skin. Found the product during a trip to Santa Barbara removed tar off sandals, feet, and tennis shoes eaily. I love the wipes for the convenience, but the spray works well too. Wish it were sold in southern California stores instead of having to wait for a shipment.

Wow, this is a truly great product! It works like a charm. My son went boogie boarding on a Goleta, CA beach, and afterward the bottom of his feet were covered in beach tar (as usual). We sprayed this on his feet and also on a rag according to the instructions, and the tar easily wiped right off! It was effortless! The Oil Slick Beach Tar Remover has a pleasant scent that is not strong at all (we were using really harsh chemicals before to get the tar off). I am so pleased with this wonderful product! We live in Santa Barbara county and there is always tar on the beaches. This stuff works very well, non toxic and smells fine. Plus, it’s made locally which is important to me.I was using Avon skin so soft and neutrogena oil but they’re both not good for the body.Recommended!!

Works faster than anything and it smells great!! So happy to have this in a convenient spray bottle to keep by the door.

I used the towelettes after a beach trip to remove tar from my feet and it worked great! It smells nice and left my skin feeling moist. It also removed tar from my shower. I also tested it on some spilled oily makeup (lipstick!) and even hair dye on my skin after a salon visit. My hairdresser is now using it in her salon!
